As I was about to shut down the system eyes heavy from long hours of sitting/reading and my body begging for sleep, I opened a tab on the browser entered facebook (with the mindset of one glance and the bed I hit), then I saw it...a friend had updated his status "Goodbye Madiba..." and my heart broke...Nelson Mandela, the father of modern-day South Africa, the pride of Africa and an inspiration to millions had passed on.
You inspired me greatly sir and I pray that your soul find rest...I don't have words to express my thoughts about your life and the legacy you left behind...though you sleep, your light will continually shine...sleep on great Madiba!
